Schedule A Travel ConsultationMy first visit to “The Marvelous City “ Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was during the 2016 Olympic games. I’ve been to over 20 different countries around the world, and none compared to Copacabana so far. So far, I’ve returned to Rio at least ten times safely, without any major problems.
Rio is a wonderful place to visit but at the same time, Rio can be dangerous if you are unaware and uninformed about the local culture (the Carioca way of life). Remember we are what they call gringos, we are foreigners visiting their homeland. Therefore it is up to us to get informed about how to conduct ourselves when we are there. People who get robbed typically leave with a negative view of Brazil, not realizing that they could have prevented the situation if they knew what to look out for and how to smartly maneuver around the city. Otherwise, once you come to Rio once, you will most likely have such a sensational time, it will cause you to experience what Brazilians refer to as "saudade" which is a longing or a withdrawal from the euphoria. This is why men from all over the world end up coming back to Rio again and again. This is the main reason why I wrote and published a travel guide to Rio de Janeiro so that new solo travelers can gain insight from a black veteran’s perspective. I started traveling internationally when I joined the Navy at 18 years old, back in 1998, and I committed to never stopped the day I was honorably discharged. Now I have two sons ages 16 and 12 and it is my mission to share the keys to the world with them and others like us. Click here to read the full blog. My worldview is a unique Afrocentric perspective which includes a Native American view
of World History Hidden in The Scriptures.
If I were to sum what I do into one word, it would be, scholarship.
Scholarships incorporate education, economics, exploration and experiences.
The four pillars of a fulfilling life.
I create content to inform and inspire a new generation of independant scholars.
Most people get stuck in the stage of belief.
This is why I am a proponent of actively exercising faith.
Investing in and investigating your beliefs, in order to get to know.
"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,
then your eyes shall be opened,
and ye shall be as gods, knowing (good and evil)."
GENESIS 3:5
My motto is to PROVE ALL THINGS. I’m willing to prove my worldview, and I am willing to listen to you prove yours. This is why I’ve published a series of books to show proof of what has been revealed to me in the scriptures and reality. Not only do I show you my biblical worldview, but I also share my travel experiences with you, so that you can see, and then go see for yourself the concrete evidence that correlates to the scriptures.
The Afro-American experience is a unique perspective and can significantly contribute to the truths about our world affairs, history, and biblical interpretation. Our heritage comprises a unique combination of lineages, stemming from the Native Americans, imported Africans, and European colonizers.
We can see our history and connection to the Devine the more we explore our roots in the scriptures and in the megalithic concrete evidence of the past left behind in the real world. I am a proponent of independent scholarship, to explore and investigate the mainstream narrative. Specifically, Genesis and Revelations, where there are tons of coded information, taken out of context, and therefore overlooked throughout the past centuries.
Why? The answer is superficial, race because the narrative is anti-African and anti “black”. Most everything having to do with the African Kemetic cultures was either disclosed, demonized, or taken out of context. During the 1600s melanated people went through a “whitewashed” process and were given an approved version by a group of people who opposed their freedom, education, liberty our unity, sovereignty, power, and our progress.
The Bible is the number one selling book on this planet, its words shape the way we all live and operate whether we realize it or not. The way that we fulfill our lifetime is significantly impacted by our worldview. What do you think the purpose of life, is? The truth has been given to us, and it is widely assessable, God’s kingdom is within reach because the word is in your hand. And yet most cannot see because the true principles of life have been hidden in the details. We have been told what to see, think, and believe and not to question what we’ve been told by masters (or lords).
Therefore the young are raised to believe in the same folklore, reproducing the same results and expecting change. Believers have been convinced that knowledge is forbidden, and it leads to the fall of man. The opposite is true, but at that time the masters, purpose was not to teach their servants, but to enslave them. Knowledge is true liberation, there is no freedom without knowledge.
We are told what to think as children, then most stray away from the scriptures as young adults, and some return to the word of God later in life. After they’ve lived their youthful years without investigating the truth in the scriptures independently, into order to utilize its power in the prime years of their lifetime.
We’ve been conditioned to think of the power of the Spirit of God outside of ourselves, and another person outside of us holds the authority between you and your creator. This is the same as pursuing happiness, love, and wealth outside of ourselves as if these are external quests to fulfill us.
Trust a system with a currency based upon debt rather than trusting in God for provision as the sparrows, falcons, and Swans. These days biblical stories are made to sound like a far fetch ancient way of life. Many of the people living in the Sudan day live much like the ancients, the political and economic intent keeps it this way. The guardians of the Tree of Life. The principles of the Divine have no expiration date. Sometimes you don’t realize what God is revealing to you in your life, or with your life until you have gained the benefit or privilege of hindsight.

I chose to use the term Black Swan for several reasons, the term is packed with relatable meaning both as a black man and economically. The black swan theory has to do with both phenomena and economics. Including the ability to capitalize off of rare unforeseen events that make sense to most people only in hindsight.
For centuries in Europe, the term black swan was used as a figure of speech, a phrase indicating doubt in something that was later proven true. Similar to saying "Yeah right, or when pigs fly".
Black swans are native to South Australia, they're exceptional flyers. Known to fly as far as 9000 miles. In 1697 a Dutch explorer became the first European to see black swans in Perth Australia. Before Will Vlamigh, black swans were thought to be fictitious creatures in Europe.
In today's reality, international travel is a relatively rare privilege for black people in general, especially for an average black man. The way we are served on a plane is different, the way we are welcomed as foreigners in other countries is different to white Americans and others. Sure we are Americans in the US, but abroad we are English speakers. Meaning we are from the US or the UK, we are citizens of the United States of America or the United Kindom. Our language, nationality, and skin tone impact our reception, experiences, and perception abroad.
Black men who travel abroad can relate to black swans, as in many places we are rarely seen and are imagined as some fictitious character only seen on television. In a lot of countries we visit abroad English-speaking black people are treated like an anomaly, because we're rarely seen in person.
Other than in the military and celebrities, the average Afro-American statistically, rarely travels outside of the Americas. Black men from North America are more fortunate than black men born in Central and South America because we have more access to international travel. Therefore around the world people's concepts of "Black Americans" is primarily from the media. And we know how the media controls our narrative, falsely representing the true nature and perspectives of black and indigenous men in the Americas.
As a result, when people abroad get to meet us they're either reluctant or fascinated; typically curious to learn more about our unique perspective. In some countries, people go as far as stopping in their tracks just to speak and welcoming us to their country. Some may ask for photos as if you are a celebrity, some people want to touch your hair. Sometimes random people will invite you to feast in their homes with friends and family.
In 2005 I saw a pair of Black Swans for the first time in a resort garden in San Juan Puerto Rico. It was surprising to see because I didn't even know that black swans even existed. All of the swans I had ever seen were white, like rabbits, sheep, and sugar.
The black experience abroad is not like Rick Steve, therefore our encounters present phenomenal experiences and opportunities that go unrecorded and unnoticed. It has its pros and cons you need to be aware of depending on where in their world your destination is. The next generation needs to get to see the world from a black perspective. So that they know what is possible for them to build upon.
A free Black American male worldview is a perspective rarely heard about. We have no true representation in the mainstream. The BlackSwanMedia.club TraVel group's mission is to encourage more black young men and women (especially black men) to get passports and explore opportunities and options abroad. We educate about remote business and advocate for world travel and scholarship @Patreon.com/blackswantv.
